My Understanding of Human Desgin
Human Design was brought to the world through it's messenger, Ra Uru Hu (Robert Krakower), in 1987. This story (which it is, just a story) goes that he came home from walking his dog and was immediately taken over by a presence which referred to itself as "the voice". The voice gave Ra the "design of forms" (of which Human Design is one aspect) over a very intense 8 day period, where the information was literally downloaded into his body. This changed him forever and he spent the rest of his life (he passed in 2011) processing and unpacking the information that was put into him.

My brain likes to go from the outside in so that is how I will structure this:
What is the purpose of Human Design? Ra was told that there was a mutation in effect on the human form. This is not the first. The human form has gone through multiple, as have all life on the planet. You can say that the earth itself is in its own process of adaptation and we are being pushed to keep pace ( thats how I like to see it anyway). The most recent mutation took place in 1781 with the discovery of Uranus. This represented the shift from the 7 energy center human (think the Chakra system) to the 9 Center form (see the above bodygraph for a representation of this new form). The 7 center beings that came before us were built for dominance, hierarchy, and survival. And they were very good at.
